About Tailwinds Press

We are a young, New York City-based independent press specializing in high-quality literary fiction and non-fiction.

Tailwinds Press is edited by dedicated individuals with significant experience in writing, print media, academia, and project execution. We believe in intelligent work that is compelling and relevant to the spirit of our time.  

A tailwind is a wind that blows in the direction of travel of an object, increasing the object's speed and reducing the time required to reach its destination. Tailwinds are generally considered to be beneficial to pilots, runners, and cyclists.

We have completed the 2015 season, which is now our backlist. We are currently preparing our 2016-2017 catalog for distribution. We are currently accepting submissions for 2018 and beyond.
